TLI Solutions Team Secures $2.1 Million in Remediation Task Order Awards from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Joint Venture with EcoTec Associates Involves Site Cleanups in Kansas and Oregon

GOLDEN, Colo. (July 22, 2022) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, has awarded two task order contracts to a unique combination of TLI Solutions (TLI), an environmental contractor with nearly 40 years of federal contracting experience, and EcoTec Associates (ETA), a Small Business founded in 2015.

The Joint Venture—formally known as ETA-TLI JV—will start work soon under two task orders to provide environmental remediation support for the USACE at the Former Schilling Air Force Base near Salina, Kan., and the Former Tongue Point Naval Air Station near Astoria, Ore. TLI Solutions is EcoTec’s mentor under the U.S. Small Business Administration Mentor-Protégé Program (MPP), which is designed to help small businesses get a foothold in and expand their federal government contracting business.

The awards were received through the USACE-KC District’s Multiple Award Task Order Contract for HUBZone Small Business Architecture-Engineering (A-E) Services, which is utilized help USACE execute its environmental mission and leadership role in remediating Formerly Utilized Defense Sites (FUDS) nationwide.

Under the Schilling AFB task order, valued at $1.6 million over five years, ETA-TLI will support efforts to remediate a former Atlas F Missile Site, which contains groundwater contaminated with hazardous volatile organic compounds. Under the Tongue Point NAS task order, valued at $555,000 over three years, ETA-TLI will support remediation of soil, sediment and groundwater that is contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).
